Originally by: Quiory Jax At any given time, there are tens of thousands of people in EVE that are LOOKING to PvP. There is just no glory in attacking people that are minding their own business.
In the real world, there are probably two dozen armed conflicts going on every day, where people willingly step up and kill the crap out of each other. But there is always one bozo that has to go into a junior high school and start shooting unarmed students. There is always one, who puts bombs on city busses durring rush hour. This man did not trash months of peoples work for fun, he says he was bored with it. He did not do it for the money either. He only did it because it hurt. Now there are page after page of people applauding him?
This reminds me of when I saw the twin towers go down. I was shocked enough that anyone would do that. But the thing that really... REALLY ****ed me off, was watching the news of people all over the world throwing a party in the streets, praising god, firing guns in the air, and honking their horns.
This is on a smaller scale, but its exactly the same principle, and seeing him brag about his skills and being lauded for it, is just offensive. Hes like a kid burning ants with a magnifying glass and laughing about it. "Ho ho ho! look! his legs are smoking, look at him trying to wriggle away! God Im good at this!" And all the other kids jeer him on "ya! fry the little fekker.. its funny!"
please...
.......This is definitely the first time I've ever heard any instance in a video game being compared to 9/11. Thank you for that. I literally ROFLed for a good two minutes there after RI read the post. No but seriously man, you're totally right we should lock this bastard away like Adolf, Stalin and the Al Qaeda in prison, or even kill him. Because thousands of real lives being lost in the airplane-building explosions from burning jet fuel, gravity and crushing is definitely comparable to 500b isk lost in EVE. You sir should receive a Nobel peace prize for your carebear's rights advocacy movement and your honoring of the victims of the USA's worst tragedy by comparing their deaths to lulz in a computer game.
